JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Assume complete responsibilities and ownership of the specific merchandise group
  • Drive the growth of the merchandise group within the business proactively.

Budgeting

  • Prepare seasonal budgets and monthly sales estimates as a framework for the timely activities
  • Assist with the selection of merchandise to meet these targets
  • Review Budgets weekly throughout season, recommending and taking appropriate action
  • Calculate cost of reductions.

Stock Management

  • Effectively manage stock within a specific merchandise group in order to maximize sales opportunities and profit,
  • Effectively maintain and manage catalogue throughout the season.
  • Ensure maximum profitability through the end of season reduction period and reducing BBE stock in time.

Margin/ Price Setting

  • Assist in setting of clear price structures to meet pre agreed margins, at prices appropriate to the market.
  • Through a knowledge of the local market and current stock position assist in identifying opportunities for value promotions and implement, as appropriate.

Sales Monitoring, Recording and Promotion

  • Through regular and effective communication with store ensure that prompt action is taken to respond to fast and slow merchandise.
  • Device Marketing promotions and ensure the effective use of material across all stores
  • Undertake regular visits to the stores of competition brands/retailers and keep abreast of market trends, competitive environment in terms of pricing, product introductions, new launches etc.

Communications

  • Agree targets for the frequency and objectives for store visiting and encourage regular communication with store teams
  • Ensure timely coordination and communication with the UK range merchandisers for the specific merchandise group.

Managerial

  • Manage, as appropriate , the Assistant Merchandiser setting clear objectives and following up performance.
  • Make recommendations for the development of systems and processes which will benefit the whole system
  • Assist with the delivery of product knowledge training

Ordering and Forecasting- Order planning and forecasting

Supply Chain co-ordination- with Brand’s Global office in order to ensure timely and correct stock availability.

  • Strategizing Training modules to equip the brand staff with world class training
  • Focus on learning programs by prioritizing the training modules for building a strong foundation in key functional areas as :
  • Brand Awareness
  • Product Knowledge

  1. Responsible for receiving, investigating and responding to all customer inquiries regarding products, services and in-store experience
  2. Interact with customers by phone, e-mail concerning various customer care issues
    Tracking and reporting of relevant customer care performance metrics
    • Capturing customer feedback
  3. Developing feedback or complaints procedures for customers to use
  4. Developing customer service procedures, policies and standards
  5. Troubleshoot problems and coordinate with various internal departments to resolve problems
  6. Overcome client resistance/objections to products

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Must be graduate

  • Planning and initiating changes in order to improve the store performance on all set KPI’s – FPSV, ATV, L2L sales & UPT etc
  • Review of each category sales on daily basis and take corrective actions
